KEVIN DARBY
Kevin has been involved in structured physical conditioning programs for over twenty years. He has competed in, coached and officiated several sports at the provincial, university, national and international levels, included representing Canada as a member of the Canadian Forces Military Pentathlon Team.
During that period of time, he has been exposed to different training methods and philosophies including internships with Charles Poliquin and the St. Louis Blues (NHL). He has been a part of the course conductor staff for the Poliquin International Certification Program (PICP) and Fascial Stretch Therapist Certification (Stretch to Win Institute). He has trained and treated both professional (NHL, NLA, CFL and WTA) and amateur athletes (Olympic Games Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, FIS) and has published research that focuses on movement quality and fitness.
Kevin is the owner of Darby Training Systems: www.darbytrainingsystems.com which offers educational courses for personal trainers and health care professionals focused on improving client outcomes. Kevin is a member and active contributor to the Fortis Fitness Gym Team.
MATT
Matt has helped hundreds of clients break through their training plateaus with his innovative approach to training and nutrition. His clients include athletes from the N.B.A, N.H.L., N.F.L., C.F.L., N.C.A.A., C.I.A.U., Basketball Canada, Tennis Canada and Athletics Canada. Matt is former university athlete (football, track & field) and currently competes in power-lifting within the Ontario Power-lifting Association. He specializes in the design and implementation of corrective exercise programs for movement dysfunctions and injury rehabilitation.
Matt received his Bachelor of Concurrent Education (B.Ed.) from McGill University in Montreal, completing a double major in Physical Education and History/Anthropology. He is also an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) and a Canadian Society of Exercise Physiologists Certified Fitness Consultant (C.F.C.). Matt received his Masters degree in Kinesiology (M. Kine).from York University in Toronto. He was the first certified C.H.E.K. (Corrective and High Performance Exercise Kinesiologist) Intern in Ontario accredited through the C.H.E.K Institute in San Diego California. Matt is currently the only Strength and Conditioning Coach recognized by the Canadian Olympic Association as a Level V Coach (N.C.C.P. Level V). He is Canada's first Certified Metabolic Typing Advisor - certified through the HealthExcel Metabolic Typing Education Centre in La Jolla California.
Matt has been an exceedingly valuable advisor and contributor to Fortis Fitness. Matt’s private training and consulting business caters primarily to professional athletes.
JAMIE
Jamie is a certified Personal Training Specialist (PTS) as well as a Can-Fit-Pro Nutrition and Wellness specialist. Jamie has also completed her Personal Trainer Stretch (PTS) certification and as her Assessment, Exercise and Program Design (AEPD). Her philosophy on continued health and fitness knowledge includes surrounding herself with top fitness
professionals.
Jamie has represented Ontario, been a National Champion and had her education paid for as a soccer player with a USA Division 1 college. She also competes in power-lifting and personifies the elite athletic performance results from combining athletic strength training with specific sports. Jamie prides herself on “being stronger than the boys and looking better doing it!” Some of Jamie’s outstanding soccer achievements include the following:

Jamie specializes in weight loss, strength development and program design. She approaches every client as an individual. As such, she designs programs based on the individual’s comprehensive assessments.
GREG
Greg Hetherington's unique combination of education and athletic experience
allows him to professionally consult clients on a vast array of subjects
related to personal fitness and health. By providing a qualified and professional
outlook on personal health Greg assists his clients in achieving a total-health
approach encompassing exercise, nutrition and mental preparation.
Some of Greg’s athletic achievements include the following:
•From 2002-2006, Greg played on McGill University’s Redmen football team •All-Canadian Football Team Honors and All-Quebec Conference Honors •Led the Quebec conference in receiving yards •Broke the record for career touchdowns at McGill in 2006 •Named best team player, best offensive player at McGill University •Participated in two East-West Bowl University All-Star games •2007, began pro-football career with the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL •2008 – 2009 played for the B.C. Lions
Greg is an avid public speaker promoting health and Wellness and has spoken to Health Canada’s employees. He has also been featured on The Fan 590, Vancouver Sun, Toronto’s 104.5 Chum FM, and various other media outlets as a fitness expert.
Greg is a graduate of McGill University’s prestigious Kinesiology Program with a Bachelor of Education and a Minor in Management.
Bryan Marshall
Bryan Marshall is one of the most knowledgeable and sought after strength and development coaches in the professional sports industry. Known for his unique ability to help athletes break through plateaus and set new personal records, Marshall has trained hundreds of athletes to date including many NHL, NFL and CFL players. In addition to training pros privately, he currently consults as a strength coach to player development programs in the NHL.
Ontario’s Weightlifting Champion since 2008, Marshall is an accomplished and decorated Olympic weightlifter and has worked with world-class strength and Olympic lifting coaches for the past decade.

STEVE FORST
Steve Forst has over 16 years of experience in the fitness industry as a trainer and over 10 years of endurance and ultra-endurance racing experience. He is certified with Can-Fit-Pro and also holds a coveted CHEK institute Holistic certitication. Some of Steve’s other more notable certifications include:

Steve has had the opportunity to race as part of the Canadian Triathlon Team taking part in the Olympic Distance Triathlon World Championships, a two-time team member in the 5000Km coast to coast bicycle race in the USA (Race Across America) and has taken part in the 1400Km bicycle race the Race Across the West.
With his guidance, his clients have enjoyed their first 10km running race, experienced their first triathlon, clocked in a personal best time, stayed in shape during pregnancy and even improved over their pre pregnancy state. His clients realize that they have choices with regard to maintaining excellent health. He exemplifies this through his own busy, fun and active lifestyle.
SEAN
Sean is an NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) Certified Personal Trainer (CPT). He is also an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Sean has the unique distinction of achieving a Westside Barbell certification from elite athletic strength trainer and Westside founder, Louis Simmons
Sean is a 3-time Ontario Provincial Boxing Championships competitor and
holds over a dozen national and world raw power-lifting records.
Sean’s main areas of interest include advanced strength training and anthropology & diet. Specifically, his area of practical study has been successfully following an evolutionary diet in contemporary society
DANIELLE
Danielle holds an Honors Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from McMaster University and is certified by the Ontario Kinesiology Association (OKA). Danielle is both a CanFit Pro and CSEP (Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology) Certified Personal Trainer.
Her athletic experience includes membership in both the McMaster Marauders varsity track & field and soccer teams. She has also competed in long distance running (full and half marathons).
Danielle’s experience includes Assistant Therapist at the McMaster Sports Injury Clinic and Trainer at the Toronto Rehab Lyndhurst Spinal Injury Centre. She has coached and trained athletes at all levels.
NINETTE
Ninette Longsworth is a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition And Wellness Specialist with Canfit Pro.
She has over 14 years experience in the health and fitness industry.
With a background and experience in sports specific training for youths,
athletics has played a prominent role in her life. She is an avid runner
completing several 5k and 10k races and also certified in Kickboxing.
Currently, she is completing her studies in Holistic Nutrition. "The key is making fitness part of your everyday life."
As a 44 year old mother of three, Ninette is a prime example that fitness can be achieved at any age.
BILL
Bill Leontaritis is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and holds a degree in Physical Education and Health (BPHE) from the University of Toronto. He has trained athletes and fitness minded individuals of all backgrounds for over 17 years.
His athletic career has encompassed provincial soccer, MTHL hockey and varsity rugby. Currently, Bill is preparing and training to achieve his goal of becoming National and World champion at the Firefighter Combat Challenge championships.
Bill’s “work harder, work smarter” philosophy is evident in his never ending thirst for new and effective training methodologies, his own training and his devotion to helping his clients achieve their personal best.
